Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Gets Mac Release Date

Get ready to augment your Mac gaming experience. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will drop on December 12th courtesy of our favorite gaming cats, Feral Interactive. You can view the Mac/Linux site here.

Feral previously ported DX: Human Revolution in 2011. In a first for the Deus Ex series, Mankind Divided continues the adventures of the prior protagonist, Adam Jensen. Picking up after the events of the previous game, this adventure will see Adam attempting to thwart international terrorism and unravel the usual Deus Ex conspiracies. Expect more chisel-fist action and a deep cyberpunk world to explore. For those of you wanting more backstory or a refresher, Feral has a really cool timeline page to read.

The game will be using Apple’s Metal API. Unfortunately the game will only be supported on AMD/Radeon graphics cards due to bugs with Nvidia GPU’s and Metal. Performance tests are still pending as the game isn’t released yet, but here are the system requirements:

To run Deus Ex: Mankind Divided you will need a 3GHz Intel Core i5 processor running macOS 10.13.1, 8GB RAM and a 2GB AMD Radeon M290 or better.

The game is supported on all these Macs:

    •    All 15" MacBook Pros released since late 2016
    •    All 21.5" Retina 4K iMacs released since 2017
    •    All 27" Retina 5K iMacs released since late 2014
    •    All Mac Pros released since late 2013

The Macs listed below are also capable of running the game but do not consistently meet the high standards required for official support. This means they can run the game, but may not get the best out of it in terms of performance, graphics and stability:

    •    15" Retina MacBook Pro released in mid 2015 with an AMD Radeon R9 M370X

Look for more coverage of Deus Ex shortly after it’s released. In the meantime, watch the trailer below and get hyped!
